With rheumatoid arthritis, small amounts of alcohol are sometimes acceptable, but this mainly depends on the treatment used.
If you are taking medications such as methotrexate, alcohol is definitely not recommended because it significantly increases the risk of liver damage. Similar caution applies to other drugs that burden the liver or have an analgesic effect (e.g. NSAIDs).
When using Condrosulf, there are no significant contraindications to occasional consumption of a small amount of alcohol. The preparation contains chondroitin and acts mainly on joint cartilage, does not significantly burden the liver or does not interact with alcohol.
With a mild course of the disease and no drug contraindications, occasional, small amounts of alcohol are usually not a problem, but should not be a habit.
