Is bleeding during drug treatment Duphaston is the beginning of a new cycle?

If I received Duphaston for 10 days and after 5 days I got my period, is it normal? It was prescribed to me to induce my period, after stopping contraceptive pills. The doctor said that she had already ovulated and I should take duphaston for 10 days, but I took it before 5 and got my period. I want to go back to the pills again and can I treat today as day 1 of the menstrual cycle and do I finish duphaston?

Bleeding while taking Duphaston is one of the common side effects of Duphaston medicine. Do not interrupt the recommended treatment.

You should count the first day of bleeding after the end of the Duphaston treatment as the first day of your cycle. I encourage you to consult your doctor about your desire to return to contraceptive pills.
