Can I use herbal globules instead of Oekolp if I test positive?

I have had a steady HPV 56 test result since 2022, even without sexual contact during this time. My doctor has now prescribed OeKolp 0.5 for me. Isn't it better to treat with rose-lemon balm suppositories first, because hormone therapy has side effects again?

I advise against changing your treatment strategy without consulting your doctor. Oekolp is indicated for use as a diagnostic aid in the case of a questionable cytological picture of a cervical smear (e.g. due to atrophic lesions of the mucosa within the genital tract). Oekolp enables the physiological reconstruction of the mucous membrane and epidermis in intimate areas. It also normalizes the pH, thus reducing the risk of infection. Topical use of HRT is associated with a lower risk of side effects than taking e.g. oral tablets.
