Can cariprazine in combination with alcohol cause respiratory and circulatory depression?
Hello, does cariprazine increase respiratory and cardiac depression when taken with alcohol? Or is the main risk from the alcohol itself? Thank you.

Do not consume alcohol while taking a drug containing cariprazine due to the risk of side effects from the central nervous system. Alcohol intensifies the calming effect of the drug, increases the risk of drowsiness, concentration disorders and dizziness. It can also make it difficult to assess the effectiveness of treatment. Cariprazine may also affect the cardiovascular system. Side effects of the combination of the drug with alcohol should also be expected from the cardiovascular side (e.g. tachycardia, hypertension).
