I must strongly advise against taking medication from such a damaged package. The photo shows a blister with clear cracks on the surface of the blister, suggesting a violation of the tightness of the protective barrier.
Even microscopic cracks in aluminum foil expose the tablet to oxygen and moisture from the air, leading to degradation of the active ingredient and loss of drug stability. Under the influence of external factors, the drug can not only stop working, but also turn into decomposition products, which can be toxic or cause irritation of the digestive system. A compromised barrier is also an open pathway for microbes, which is especially risky with medications taken orally. Such mechanical damage often results from pressure, high temperature or improper transportation, which further disqualifies the product from use.
A damaged blister should be disposed of (preferably put in a special container for medicines at a pharmacy) and a new package should be purchased. Please do not risk your health for a few pills – the safety of the therapy depends on the intact packaging guaranteed by the manufacturer.
