Oil of oregano - Does it really cure intestinal flu and can it be used prophylactically?
12.99 zł

Good morning.
How is it with oregano oil.is it true that it can prevent and treat intestinal flu. I've heard that it's good for the digestive system and immunity. On the other hand, it can damage the stomach and destroy healthy bacteria. Can it be used prophylactically?

Oregano oil has shown antibacterial and antifungal effects in laboratory tests, which is why it is sometimes said that it supports immunity and the functioning of the digestive system. However, there is no scientific evidence that it protects against or cures viral intestinal influenza.

In addition, the oil is quite strong and can irritate the stomach and disrupt the balance of the intestinal flora, destroying not only harmful, but also beneficial bacteria. Therefore, in practice, it is recommended to use it for a short time - usually no longer than 7 days. The treatment can be repeated, but you should take breaks between cycles.
