I have been prescribed Wegovy 500 mcg 1.5 ml - how do I set the right weekly dose?

The Wegovy pen is designed to make it as easy as possible to administer the medicine, so the dose is set by turning the knob at the end of the pen until the appropriate value appears in the dose window. If your doctor has advised you to start at 0.5 mg, turn the knob until the selected number is equal to the line in the window.

Before the first injection, it is very important to check the flow of the drug (the so-called "pen test") according to the instructions attached to the package, and after inserting the needle into the skin and pressing the button as far as it will go, wait a full 6 seconds before removing it. Please note that the medicine is administered once a week, always on the same day, subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh or arm.

The use of Wegovy is recommended to be combined with a balanced diet and regular physical activity.
