Tabex has not been found to interact with Exehron Duo and Tertens-AM. The benefits of quitting smoking appear to be more important than the potential side effects, especially in patients with cardiovascular ailments, although some heart conditions may be a contraindication to the drug.

Tabex is contraindicated in the case of:

 unstable angina,

 a recent heart attack,

 clinically significant cardiac arrhythmias,

 a recent stroke.
