Can Jardiance cause significant weight loss and hair loss?
I recently started a medicine called Jardance. I've lost 41 lbs in 4 months. My hair is coming out in a nice size amount

Jardiance (empagliflozin) can cause weight loss, but such a large decrease in a short period of time is unusual and requires medical supervision.
Hair loss is not a common side effect of the drug and is more often associated with rapid weight loss, stress on the body, deficiencies (e.g. iron, protein, zinc) or hormonal disorders.
I encourage you to report this fact to your doctor, perform check-ups and assess your diet and weight reduction rate. Do not discontinue the drug on your own without consultation.
