No, Monoprost and Bimatoprost are not their substitutes. These are different drops – Monoprost contains latanoprost (a prostaglandin analogue), while Bimatoprost is an active substance with a similar mechanism of action, but a different chemical structure and side effect profile.

Both drugs are used to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension, lowering intraocular pressure by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, but they differ in dosage, corneal permeability and potential effects such as eyelash lengthening or pigmentation changes (more common with Bimatoprost).
