The antibiotic should be used until the end of the treatment, as prescribed by the doctor. Treatment should not be stopped, as this may cause bacterial resistance to antibiotics to grow and make it difficult to treat subsequent infections. The lack of effect may have various causes (a different type of infection, bacterial resistance, etc.), but the final evaluation of effectiveness should be withheld until the end of treatment. If the symptoms do not disappear after the end of therapy, consult your doctor again.
