This medicine can only be discontinued if your doctor tells you to. An independent decision to discontinue the drug may pose a threat to health and life. Sudden discontinuation of the drug significantly increases the risk of a blood clot or embolism (e.g. stroke, heart attack, pulmonary embolism).
