How to use Levofree? Can I take it 3 times a day until the end of the package and stop it completely?

Hello, I've been using Levofre syrup for cough after a cold for 2 days.
3 x a day for 10 ml. I see big effects. I read on the leaflet that it should be used for up to 7 days. Please let me know because I didn't read it in the leaflet. Is it generally taken with syrup should be reduced in dosage, e.g. 2 times a day after a few days. Do you take 3 times a day and stop completely ? I ask how best to do it with this substance.

Hello, why can the syrup be used for 7 days max.
I read that syrup is not addictive. Is the use of e.g. for a month harmful.

The drug works for a short time, so the manufacturer recommends dosing 3 times a day to inhibit coughing throughout the day.

This drug has a symptomatic effect. It inhibits the cough reflex by reducing the sensitivity of sensory receptors in the mucous membrane of the airways, which leads to a reduction in the frequency and intensity of coughing.
It does not have anti-inflammatory or anti-infective properties. Therefore, it is recommended for the short-term treatment of dry, persistent cough.

I understand. And can I use syrup 2 times a day? And then, for example, 1 time a day? Or will it not be a treatment then?

Does the syrup treat or only drown out the symptoms, i.e. cough?

According to the information in the leaflet:

"Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: The recommended dose is a single dose of 10 ml of Levofree (equivalent to 60 mg of levopropizine) up to three times a day. An interval of 6 hours between doses should be maintained."

The manufacturer does not recommend a specific procedure, you can take the drug 3 times a day until the end of the package, and then discontinue completely. Levofree works only symptomatically.

Do not use the drug for more than 7 days without consulting your doctor. If the cough persists or gets worse, consult your doctor.
