Just like any other medicine, Diprophos can cause side effects. The risk of these occurs depends on the dose and duration of treatment. They are usually reversible and can be minimized by reducing the dose when discontinuation of treatment is not beneficial. Side effects may or may not necessarily occur - they will not occur in every patient.

This drug is also contraindicated in the event that you have:
- hypersensitivity to the active substance (betamethasone) or other corticosteroids, or to any of the excipients,
- tuberculosis, osteoporosis, mental lability, peptic ulcer disease, primary glaucoma, early venous anastomosis, diabetes, Cushing's syndrome, renal failure and bacterial, fungal or viral infections,
- pregnancy (especially the first three months).
