The symptoms you describe may be side effects of lamotrigine (Lamilept), especially if the dose has been increased too quickly.

The drug requires a gradual and careful increase in dose to reduce the risk of side effects, including skin and neurological reactions. Do not stop or change the dose on your own – it is necessary to contact your doctor urgently to assess whether you should return to the previous dose, slow down the increase or change the therapy. If you also experience a rash, fever, swelling or increased symptoms, see a doctor immediately.
