Prokit is a prokinetic drug that accelerates gastric emptying and improves gastrointestinal motility. Its antiemetic effect and increasing the tension of the lower esophageal sphincter is supposed to alleviate the symptoms of reflux and heartburn. However, some patients may experience side effects that may cause discomfort or worsening of the symptoms, such as nausea, abdominal pain or other gastrointestinal symptoms. If the condition has worsened after using Prokit, it is worth consulting a doctor who will assess the need to continue this treatment or change it. Your doctor may also consider additional diagnostic tests to rule out other causes of your well-being.
Dexilant is a proton pump inhibitor and usually well tolerated, so the problem may be more due to Prokit or drug interactions.
I encourage you to consult immediately in order to adapt the treatment to the individual situation of the patient.
