I've been taking trexan neo since January. At the same time, I take supplements every day: potassium, calcium, magnesium, vit C, D3, collagen, vit B12, B6. Of course, I also take folic acid. Am I doing it right? My husband says that too much potassium can have a bad effect on my health.

Vitamin preparations or other products containing folic acid, folinic acid or their derivatives may reduce the effectiveness of methotrexate, so folic acid should be taken in a specific regimen depending on the doses used. Folic acid (5 mg - prescription version) should be taken 24 hours after taking methotrexate and for the next 2-3 days (unless otherwise directed by your doctor). Do not take methotrexate and folic acid at the same time. Folic acid supplementation during methotrexate treatment reduces the risk of side effects.
Excessive potassium intake can be harmful to health. Blood tests should be performed to assess plasma potassium and calcium levels to assess the appropriateness of supplementation.
Also, too high doses of B6 can be harmful to health (especially for the nervous system). If you are taking magnesium with vitamin B6, you do not need to take additional doses of this vitamin (unless otherwise recommended by your doctor).
