After the end of Pylera therapy, gastrointestinal ailments are quite common, especially abdominal pain, heartburn or a feeling of irritation.
Pantoprazole relieves hyperacidity, but does not always eliminate symptoms immediately. Radiating pain when coughing can result from irritation of the mucous membrane, but if the pain is severe, sudden, intensifies or accompanied by alarm symptoms (bloody vomiting, tarry stools, shortness of breath, dizziness), you should urgently contact your doctor.
In the meantime, it is worth avoiding coffee, alcohol, spicy foods and taking the medicine after a meal, not on an empty stomach, to reduce irritation. If the symptoms persist despite treatment, a check-up with a gastroenterologist will be necessary.
