Rybelsus 3 mg is only used as a starting dose for 30 days to get the body used to the drug — it has no therapeutic effect on glycaemic control. If treatment is discontinued at this dose, there will be minimal or no therapeutic effect. For effective action, it is necessary to switch to a dose of 7 mg, and sometimes even 14 mg, as recommended by the doctor. Discontinuation of treatment after 3 mg may mean no improvement in blood sugar levels.
The preparation should be used in combination with a proper diet and physical exercise. The diet should be designed to provide all the necessary nutrients. It may be helpful to use the help of a qualified dietitian in developing a diet.
