The symptoms you describe, such as numbness of the tongue, severe thirst, changes in mental status, and loss of weight and appetite, may indicate side effects of the medication or metabolic disorders, e.g. vitamin deficiencies (especially B vitamins, e.g. B12) or neurological disorders.
Numbness in the tongue is often associated with nerve damage or vitamin deficiencies, and mental symptoms may be indicative of the medication's effects on the central nervous system or other serious health problems.
I encourage you to immediately consult your attending physician in order to assess the causes of these symptoms, perform appropriate tests and possibly correct the treatment. Do not stop the therapy on your own without consultation, as sudden discontinuation of the drug may worsen your health. In the meantime, it is worth paying attention to proper hydration and diet and monitoring the severity of symptoms.
