How long does it take for the body to get used to the dose of Rybelsus 14 mg and is it worth continuing the drug despite the unpleasant symptoms?

How long after switching to 14mg did your bodies get used to the dose?
I've been taking it for the 6th day and I've honestly had enough. Abdominal pain, nausea, itchy skin, constipation or diarrhoea. So far everything has been ok. A month on 3mg, and then 6mg. I'm wondering if I should stop taking the pills, I still have 2.5 weeks before my doctor's appointment.

It usually takes about 4-5 weeks for the body to get used to a new dose of the drug, although this time can vary individually. In the initial period of use, side effects such as abdominal pain, nausea, itching of the skin or changes in bowel movement rhythm may occur, which often disappear as the body adapts.

It is important not to stop treatment on your own, especially before visiting a doctor, as sudden discontinuation can worsen your condition. If your symptoms are very bothersome or worsening, it is worth contacting your doctor beforehand to consider possible modification of your dose or treatment. Until the appointment, I encourage you to take the medication as prescribed and use remedies to alleviate the symptoms, e.g. taking a tablet with a meal, which can reduce stomach discomfort.

I also encourage you to report the symptoms you experience to your doctor, as well as to report the occurrence of an adverse effect of the preparation. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:
