In the case of a low pulse, you should immediately consult a cardiologist who will assess the legitimacy of using Rytmonorm and possibly modify the treatment. Do not change the dose or stop taking medication on your own without medical advice. ECG monitoring and clinical evaluation are essential to ensure the safety of therapy.
Rytmonorm (propafenone) is an antiarrhythmic drug used mainly for tachyarrhythmias, i.e. when the heart rhythm is too fast. Its use at a very low pulse (bradycardia, e.g. pulse around 40) is contraindicated, as this drug may further slow down the heart rhythm and intensify impulse conduction disorders in the heart. In addition, combining Rytmonorm with a beta-blocker such as Betaloc ZOK (metoprolol) may increase the risk of bradycardia and other serious cardiac arrhythmias.
