After stopping Dostinex, your prolactin levels may gradually return to baseline. The body begins to return to normal at different rates in different people. This drug works to lower prolactin levels, and its effects last for 7 to 28 days in healthy people and people with hyperprolactinemia. After completion of cabergoline therapy, a recurrence of hyperprolactinemia is usually observed, although in some people there may be a permanent decrease in prolactin levels.

Side effects associated with discontinuation of Dostinex usually disappear within a few days.

According to the data contained in the Dostinex Summary of Product Characteristics, drug-related side effects such as drowsiness and depression are common, i.e. ≥1/100 to <1/10 of people using the drug.
Fatigue, nausea and vomiting, on the other hand, are described as side effects that occur very often, i.e. up to ≥1/10 of patients using the preparation.

Side effects may or may not occur in all patients. It is also impossible to determine with complete certainty whether all the ailments you mentioned are side effects of the preparation used.

I encourage you to report the observed adverse reactions to your doctor, who will decide on further therapy, especially if you experience worsening of depression symptoms as a result of taking the drug.

Here we write why it is worth reporting adverse drug reactions:
