Thiocodin should not be taken at the same time as Iporel used to treat high blood pressure because of the risk of increased effects and side effects. The Summary of Product Characteristics recommends caution when using Thiocodin in patients with hypertension (which roughly means that blood pressure should be controlled, the lowest possible doses should be taken and the drug should be discontinued if the patient feels unwell). Instead of Thiocodin, you can take the cough suppressant Levopront (or its equivalents - Solvetusan, Levofree, etc.), which has a higher safety profile (fewer side effects and fewer interactions with other drugs).
