Please help. Every day at 7 p.m. I take Microgynon. Tomorrow at this time I will be out of the house. Is it better to take the pill around 5:40-5:50 p.m., when I am still at home, or should I take it only after returning, i.e. around 8:20 p.m.? I would like to emphasize that this is a one-off situation. Should I take the rest of the tablets normally at 7 p.m.?

A one-time postponement of Microgynon intake by one hour earlier (5:40–5:50 p.m.) or later (8:20 p.m.) will not affect the effectiveness of contraception, especially since it is within the acceptable time window. After this situation, please return to taking the tablet regularly at 7 p.m. to maintain a steady rhythm of dosing.
