Before reapplying Dermatol powder, it is recommended to gently wash the wound to remove the remains of the old preparation and possible impurities. It is best to use sterile saline (0.9% NaCl), which is gentle and cleanses the wound well without causing irritation. After washing, dry the wound with sterile gauze, avoiding friction, and then apply a fresh layer of Dermatol.
