Good morning. I've been to a cardiologist, my heart is fine, but sometimes I have high blood pressure 140-150, maybe 2 times a week. The doctor recommended Prestarium 5 mg in the morning. I am bothered by the question whether this drug should also be taken on days when blood pressure is normal???? I wonder if having a blood pressure of 110 or taking Prestarium it will not drop too much. I would like to add that I have an aneurysm of the right renal artery and the vascular surgeon recommends keeping the pressure below 130.

Prestarium is a medication used to treat hypertension and should be taken as prescribed by your doctor, regardless of your current blood pressure. Regular intake of the drug helps to maintain stable blood pressure, which is especially important in the context of a renal artery aneurysm.
I encourage you to monitor your blood pressure regularly and consult your doctor if you are concerned about lowering your blood pressure too much to adjust your dose or treatment plan as needed.
