Taking Rybelsus 7 mg for 5 days and then switching to Rybelsus 3 mg can lead to fluctuations in blood glucose levels. Rybelsus, containing semaglutide, works by increasing insulin secretion and decreasing the release of glucagon, which can result in hypoglycemia, especially if used with other diabetes medications such as insulin or sulfonylureas.

After a sudden change in dose, the patient should monitor their blood sugar levels to avoid potential episodes of hypoglycaemia. If you experience alarming symptoms, such as dizziness, weakness or excessive sweating, you should contact your doctor immediately.
