Can Xarelto cause red spots on the face and cracked skin?

I have been taking xarelto 20 mg for about 6 months due to DVT and pulmonary microembolism. For a few days now I wake up with the skin on my face pulling and I feel like it's cracked. I also got kind of red spots. Can it be combined with therapy? If so, what are the possible solutions? Thank you!

Yes, these symptoms may be caused by Xarelto. Itching, rash, hives, subcutaneous haemorrhages are common side effects of this preparation. I encourage you to consult a doctor to assess the possibility of changing your medication (especially if the situation does not improve). Do not stop taking Xarelto on your own or reduce the dose due to the risk of recurrence of thrombotic disease.
