Could the swapping of Bisotal for Apo-sotalol trigger an arrhythmia attack?

Biosotal and Aposotalol are preparations containing the same active ingredient - sotalol. If half the dose of Apo-sotolal 160 mg is taken, it is the same dose as Biosotal 80 mg. It can be suspected that the arrhythmia attack was not caused by a change of medication because the same active ingredient is taken over and over again at the same dose, this is only a guess. In order to make a proper diagnosis and find the cause of the problem, you should contact your doctor.
