My son (4 months) has seborrheic and atopic dermatitis. We used afloderm and elidel for less than 2 weeks until it was completely healed. The doctor recommended using it in the case of recurrence and after 2 days there is a need for it. On the leaflet it says that max 3 weeks without a break. What is the minimum break? Unfortunately, the appointment with the doctor is only 5 weeks away.

In the case of treating such young children, it would be advisable to consult a doctor. Preferably a dermatologist or, if you don't have such a possibility, a pediatrician.
If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation with a dermatologist here:

The manufacturer does not specify how long the interval between successive cycles of Afloderm use should be. In addition, in the case of such young children, the treatment is determined individually. Treatment should be started as soon as possible after an exacerbation is diagnosed - the length of therapy must be decided by the doctor.
More and more scientific studies indicate the high effectiveness of AD treatment using the proactive method. "The proactive (intermittent) treatment regimen involves the use of topical glucocorticoids (e.g., Afloderm) or topical calcineurin inhibitors (e.g., Elidel) initially every other day and then twice a week. The period of use of topical glucocorticoids or MCI varies from substance to substance, but not shorter than several weeks. It is also possible to apply them intermittently over several months."
It may be worth starting a treatment with Elidel first, and if the symptoms persist, add Afloderm for 2-3 weeks. However, as she has already mentioned, the therapy concerns a very young child, so the final decision must be made by a doctor.
