Good morning, my partner has WR negative, RPR negative, FTA, FTS-ABS negative, but TPHA qualitative positive, TPHA quantitative 1:80 after having been infected in the past. Can such a person infect syphilis?

The test result indicates that the person is no longer contagious with syphilis, but has had contact with the disease in the past.
In the vast majority of patients (about 90%), despite effective treatment, a positive TPHA result will persist for the rest of their lives, indicating contact with syphilis in the past.
If you have any further doubts, I encourage you to contact the doctor who ordered the test. If you do not have such a possibility, you can take advantage of the teleconsultation here:
