Can alcohol consumed in large quantities weaken the effect of the contraceptive implant?
9.99 zł

I have a new implant placed, on February 29 there was a replacement for a new one and I drank alcohol a lot and I felt sorry for it, does alcohol weaken the effect of the implant I will add in large quantities?
And today I got mucus with blood, is it normal?

And I have a question, if I drink a lot of sweet red wine, which has licorice in its composition and had three extracts from St. John's wort, will it affect the lack of protection against pregnancy?
How long should I use an extra condom after drinking a lot of such wine?

Alcohol (even when consumed in large quantities) has no effect on the contraceptive implant.

The occurrence of spotting/bleeding does not indicate that the implant is not effective. After changing the implant, bleeding disorders such as spotting or mid-cycle bleeding may occur.
