A drug with this particular substance is unfortunately unavailable in pharmacies in Poland. The preparation does not have a valid marketing authorisation in Poland, it cannot be purchased with a regular prescription in a pharmacy.

It is possible to purchase this medicine as part of the targeted import. Here, any pharmacy can carry out this type of procedure. Target import consists in importing products from abroad that are not approved for marketing in Poland, but are necessary to save the patient's life or health. Most often, medicines are imported from another country of the European Union, but there is no obstacle to importing medicines even from another continent by way of targeted import.

The duration of the procedure according to the Act is 21 working days + the time for the wholesaler to bring the drug to the pharmacy (here it is difficult to determine, it depends on the wholesaler and may take up to several months).

It would be best to see your GP as soon as possible.

A family doctor issues a requisition for the target import of a drug for his patient. Then, the information is automatically sent to the provincial consultant and, after his permission, to the Minister of Health. - the patient does not take part in it - everything is done automatically.

Next, the Minister of Health gives permission for the import of the drug.

Once you have received permission from the Minister of Health to import the medicine, you should go to your GP again and complete the following documents:
1. Consent of the Minister of Health 2. A reimbursement decision if you apply for reimbursement of the medicine. 3. Demand 4. A prescription for the drug issued by a family doctor (after obtaining the consent of the Ministry of Health and a decision on reimbursement.

This is the only possible way to obtain this drug in Poland.

An alternative is to change the method of treatment with the use of drugs available in Poland. However, it will be necessary to consult a doctor. If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
