Is it 72 hours after applying the patch Transtec 52.5 μg/h can be applied a new ?

Good day. Tell me, please, if 72 hours have already passed since the moment of gluing the Transtec 52.5 μg/h (30 mg) patch, can I remove the patch and immediately apply a new one (in another place)? Or does the analgesic effect still persist after the patch and you can apply the next patch every other day?

According to the manufacturer of Transtec 52.5 μg/h transdermal patch, the patch contains 30 mg of buprenorphine and releases 52.5 micrograms of buprenorphine per hour over a 96-hour period.

According to this, all the analgesic substance will be released from the patch after 96 hours from its application.

The Transtec transdermal patch should be worn for up to 96 hours, then removed. Each subsequent transdermal patch should be placed in a different location on the skin.

Of course, you can remove the patch earlier, but it should be remembered that in this case you will not use all the painkiller contained in the patch.

Here you can check the availability of the medicine and book it at the pharmacy:
