There are no contraindications to taking Meteospasmyl while preparing for colonoscopy. However, it is a prescription drug that is issued with a doctor's prescription that determines the dosage. It contains alverin and simethicone. Alverine has a relaxant effect, especially on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract. Simeticone reduces the surface tension of intestinal gas vesicles.
For pain occurring in functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, I can recommend over-the-counter preparations that also contain simethicone.
Here you can compare the prices of preparations (with simethicone) in online pharmacies and make an order with home delivery (also foreign delivery) or collection at the pharmacy:

Over-the-counter antispasmodic drugs will be preparations containing drotaverine, e.g. No-spa or Drotafemme Forte

Meteospasmyl may be useful after colonoscopy. Please consult the doctor conducting the examination.
