Is the fasting sugar level in a type 2 diabetic ok when given insulin rhizodeg ,78 and 116 two hours after breakfast?
If the blood sugar level after the main meal in the afternoon is above 200, should I increase the number of units the next morning, or before the main meal in the afternoon? What should be the normal level of sugar on an empty stomach and 2 hours after a meal (an elderly person, hardly walking).

According to currently available information, fasting blood glucose should be between 70-99 mg/dl, two hours after a meal sugar should be below 140 mg/dl.
Glycaemic values during the day should not exceed 200 mg/dl, in order to choose the appropriate insulin dosage for a particular patient, a doctor should be consulted.
