Hello, the gynaecologist prescribed me to use estrophem for 2 months – I have a secondary loss of menstruation (the interval between the last period is 1.5 years) and a negligible level of estradiol (its level is only 2mg, even though I am a young woman). Will the natural menstrual period immediately return after the prescribed use of the drug and will it occur regularly? Will I have to continue to supply synthetic estrogen for it to occur?

The response to hormone intake is individual and we are not able to say if and when menstruation will normalize. After replenishing hormonal deficiencies and discontinuing the drug, it is highly likely that menstruation will occur regularly. Therefore, you should follow your doctor's instructions closely.
