The active substances in Prestarium and Polpril are perindopril and ramipril, respectively. These substances belong to the same group - angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, they have the same mechanism of action. The use of drugs from the same group is not recommended due to the increased risk of exacerbation of adverse drug reactions.
If you have been prescribed Prestarium and Polpril by different doctors, make sure that they are informed of all the medicines you are taking. If the preparations were ordered by a single doctor, it is worth asking for an explanation of why such a drug combination was chosen in order to dispel doubts about the simultaneous use of the products.
