The colour of the pharyngeal mucosa is largely determined by the individual. It depends, m.in, on meals, temperature. It is assumed that under normal conditions, the pharyngeal mucosa is pink, with a uniform shade.

Glimbax is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug. A symptom of inflammation of the throat is, m.in, redness of the mucosa. The effect of the drug may cause it to "fade" to its normal state.
