Is back and leg pain after tadalafil normal and will it go away?

Due to erection problems, I started taking tadalafil. After a few days, I started to have very severe pain in my back and legs. Will this go away or should I look for another medication?

The most commonly reported side effects in patients using tadalafil to treat erectile dysfunction or benign prostatic hyperplasia are headache, indigestion, back pain and muscle pain.

Symptoms are usually transient and disappear after a few days.

If you notice any side effects, you should report them to your doctor, who will decide what to do next.

It may be worth considering the use of sildenafil - a drug with a similar effect.
