Shipment of medicines outside of Ukraine or Turkey should always be preceded by familiarizing yourself with the regulations of the country to which the parcel is to be sent. Shipping prescription drugs to the U.S., even for personal use, is prohibited unless approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Do not ship prescription drugs to the U.S. unless they are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, there are a few exceptions.
In principle, prescription drugs manufactured and exported from the U.S. can only be returned to the U.S. manufacturer. In some cases, a small amount of prescription drugs can be imported into the U.S. if they comply with FDA regulations.
If your shipment is eligible, you must include the following information on your commercial invoice:
- A valid copy of your doctor's prescription
- The recipient's full name, address, and telephone number
- The name and address of the medicine manufacturer
- Drug form (tablets, capsules, liquid, etc.)
-Quantity
- Type of packaging
- The type of disease being treated
- Whether the medicine can be purchased at the destination
-Dose
- A copy of the passport (if the recipient is not a resident)
Please note that you can only import prescription drugs that last for 90 days.
