Can Monoprost drops cause side effects?

Hello, have been taking Monoprost for several years. For a few weeks now I have had squiggles and dots on one eye. The doctor thinks these are crystals, there's nothing you can do about them. Can this come from Monoprost?

Monoprost drops may cause side effects such as m.in. increased iris pigmentation, mild to moderate conjunctival hyperemia, eye irritation (burning, roughness, itching, stinging sensation and the sensation of a foreign body in the eye). Other potential side effects can be found in the leaflet: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/50231/monoprost-krople-do-oczu/ulotka

Reporting side effects allows you to gather more information about the safety of medicines and keep them up to date, which can help other patients in the future. We wrote about how to report them here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
