Is a dose of vitamin D 4000 IU appropriate for a person with results at the limit of normal?

Is supplementing vitamin D.4000 not too high a dose I have on the verge of normal? Best regards.

The standard dose for an adult (up to 75 years of age) is 2000 IU per day. The exception is obese people, for whom an intake of 4000 IU is recommended. If your doctor does not recommend otherwise (which may be the case - there are also other conditions indicating the need to take a higher dose of vitamin D, e.g. intestinal diseases and malabsorption) - I suggest using the basal dose.
