Is the creatinine level in a urine sample of 80.60 mg/dl normal?

Creatinine in urine sample 80.60 mg/dl . Is this an ok result? Can you tell from this that your kidney function is normal? That I can take metformin in peace?

According to the standards from the laboratory, this creatinine from a single urine sample is normal. I did blood creatinine and urea and GRF also normal today so everything came out fine😉

At the outset, it should be noted that as a pharmacist I can only provide general information, and the interpretation of the results should always be made by a doctor who has access to the patient's full medical history and can take into account other diagnostic tests.

An adult's creatinine test result should be in the range of 0.6-1.3 mg/dl (53-115 μmol/l). This test is performed mainly to assess the functioning of the kidneys in the course of their diseases or exposure to toxins, taking drugs that damage them.

The given result of 80.60 mg/dl is too high. This creatinine level is most often due to acute renal failure (e.g. severe dehydration, nephritis or ureteral obstruction in the course of urolithiasis) or chronic kidney disease. I recommend that you consult your doctor immediately.
Only a doctor will be able to provide more precise information about your health and possible medication adjustments.

If it is not possible to visit the site, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation via e.g. the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
