Should bleeding in week 3 of the Evra contraceptive patch be a cause for concern?

I've been using evra patches for over half a year, and every time I use the patch, my bleeding starts and stops when I take the patch off in the fourth week. I would like to add that at the beginning of the use I had frequent mid-cycle bleeding, and for several months I have had regular bleeding in the third week. Is it correct, contraception is preserved? Do I have anything to worry about?

Mid-cycle bleeding or spotting in the early stages of hormonal contraceptive use is not a cause for concern. If you still have mid-cycle bleeding after a few months of using a given contraceptive method, you should seek advice from your gynaecologist.
