Therapy should usually last no longer than 8-12 weeks depending on the symptoms.
According to the manufacturer:
"Gastrointestinal symptoms of functional, dyspetic dyspepsia not associated with peptic ulcer disease: The recommended dose for adults is 150 mg per day, i.e. 1 tablet 3 times daily before meals for up to 8 weeks. The duration of administration in clinical trials was a maximum of 8 weeks.
Gastroesophageal reflux disease:
The recommended dose for adults is 150 mg per day, i.e. 1 tablet 3 times a day before meals for up to 6 weeks when Prokit is used as monotherapy and for a maximum of 12 weeks when Prokit is used as an additive proton pump inhibitor (PPI) treatment. The duration of administration in clinical trials was a maximum of 6 and 12 weeks, respectively."
