Melatonin is a natural hormone produced by the pineal gland that regulates circadian rhythms and sleep-activity cycles in humans. In most cases, the use of melatonin is considered safe and does not cause serious side effects. However, the usual doses used are 1-5 mg.

Using excessively high doses, such as 15mg, can cause some unwanted effects such as nausea, nightmares, drowsiness and fatigue, and even depressive states. However, tenderness or soreness of the breasts is not one of them.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as breast tenderness and soreness, I encourage you to consult your doctor. Your doctor may recommend diagnostic tests and adjust the procedure to your current clinical condition. If you do not have the possibility of an in-person visit, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

Please keep in mind that taking melatonin doses on your own, especially such high doses, without medical supervision, can lead to unwanted side effects. Therefore, in this situation, I recommend consulting a doctor.
