Hello. Can a depo prowera injection negatively falsify the result of the HCG beta test? The result of this test is 1 mlu/ml. I did the test 5 weeks after intercourse, and 4 weeks after intercourse I did 3 urine tests at intervals of 48 hours each and they all came out negative. But you still get anxious about whether the depo prowera has an impact on the result? Please reply.

To @Kasia:
Yes, the obtained result of beta HCG excludes pregnancy, especially after 7 difficulties from intercourse.
As for the side effects of the Depo-Provera injection, the blue thin veins on the breasts and their enlargement may be one of the possible side effects. This is due to the hormonal changes in the body that this type of contraception causes.
If you are concerned or have doubts about your symptoms, I recommend that you consult your doctor for further evaluation and to rule out possible complications.
If you do not have the opportunity to take advantage of the advice, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation, e.g. Through the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

Hello.Thank you for your reply. But I have one more question, I did beteHcg 7 weeks after intercourse and the result was the same as after 5 weeks and was 1mlU/ml.Can I rule out pregnancy? I took a Depo prowera injection 5 weeks ago. I have slightly enlarged breasts and blue thin veins on them, are these normal side effects of using this drug? I would also like to add that this is my first injection, before which I used Slinda tablets for 3 months. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Depo-Provera does not affect the result of the beta hCG test.
