What should I do if I have taken an expired Apap tablet?

My wife accidentally ate APAP (1 TABLET) 4 months after her due date, can she be in danger? How should we behave? Wife complains of stomach pain, could it be related?

Observe your body's reaction, and if you experience any worrying symptoms (e.g. vomiting, diarrhoea or signs of an allergic reaction), please seek medical attention. Taking an expired medication increases the risk of side effects, so stomach pain may be linked.

The expiry date of a drug determines until when the manufacturer guarantees that its properties (safety and effectiveness) will be preserved. Over time, the chemical properties of a medicine may change, but there are no studies available on the safety of medicines that have exceeded their expiry date and therefore it is not possible to determine what changes occur and at what time. As a result, the body's reaction to expired medication is unfortunately impossible to predict.
